The Model 3110 is a strong, powerful drilling machine capable of drilling large diameter drilled shafts. The torque and crowd available with the Model 3110 provide capacity to drill in difficult conditions including hard rock and boulders.  The Model 3110 can be mounted on a truck/carrier or on a crawler-type undercarriage with tilt style carbody. A short mast truck mounted or crawler mounted version is available.

  • CONTROLLED FREEFALL WINCH

    Controlled freefall is a critical part of productive drilling. The 3110's controlled freefall rate of speed is adjustable to meet the needs of the operator and demands of the auger and bar arrangement. Combined with 2-speed raise, unparalleled cycle times are achieved.

  • TOP APPLIED KELLY CROWD SYSTEM

    Watson's top crowd system applies the downward force to the top of the kelly rather than through a rotary/bar locking system.  The wear and tear on the rotary from crowd forces is eliminated while also allowing the operator to drill straighter holes.

  • SINGLE LAYER GROOVED WINCH drum

    Fitted with  grooved winch drum big enough to keep all of wire rope on one layer, speed and consistent pull are achieved along with excellent rope management.

  • MECHANICAL OR HYDRAULIC ROTARY DRIVE SYSTEM

    Rotary Drive is available as a mechanical or a hydraulic rotary. Mechanical rotaries, thanks to the torque converter, are known for their speed and responsiveness in many different conditions while hydraulic rotaries are good for hard rock coring and allow the use of more kelly bar elements due to the larger diameter.  Both rotaries output 120,000 ft-lbs and the mechanical can reach spinoff speeds of 147 rpm.

    Rotating frame rotates a full 360 degree, slide frame moves 88" on a truck and 42" on a crawler, boom moves 9 degrees past vertical, there is even 5 degrees of side-tilt in the crawler base.  Optimized balance makes it ideal for barge work.
